San Francisco Bathroom Home Improvement
Few home remodels give you the opportunity to play around with materials, textures and colors as a bath remodel. The variety of choices in bath tiles, bathroom cabinets, bath flooring, sinks, and bath tubs and shower systems is so vast, it could take you weeks just to go through the varieties available. Cold bath tiles are almost passé - heated tiles are in and so are towel holders and personal sauna steam showers. If you're beginning your search for bath fittings with your tiles, there is a bewildering range to choose from. There are bath tiles that resemble glass and metal, and even tiles that are patterned intricately to resemble a Persian rug. Choose from tiles that have mini lights inside ,and tiles with semi precious stones for a truly royal bath experience!
If you've decided to go ahead and gift yourself a bathroom renovation, you might as well go the extra mile, and have a complete shower remodel too, and this doesn't just mean getting a new piece of the current shower that you own. For a really terrific gift to yourself, install a steam shower that allows you to enjoy a sauna- like experience in your own bathroom. A remote controlled thermostat allows you to control the temperature, and a built in CD player and TV allows you to relax while you're sweating a healthy glow. If that sounds too extravagant, allow yourself a dual shower head system that allows you to enjoy shower from two different angles, simultaneously.
A bathtub remodel is not for all baths. If you have a tiny bath space with barely enough space for a sink and a shower, remove a bath tub from your list of must have accessories. It doesn't make sense to give your home a bathroom makeover that ends up making things more inconvenient. Ask your home improvement contractor if a corner tub will be suited to your bathroom, and if not, consider a shower-tub combination that gives you the best of both in the same space. If you do have a larger bathroom and are able to splurge, the sky is the limit for you. Two person tubs may consume more water, but are still a quality investment to make. A whirlpool tub can be the answer to a hard day at work. Claw footed tubs will make your bath look like they've stepped off a really classy interiors magazine, while granite and marble, sunk in tubs give your bath the movie star-home look. While selecting bathroom countertops, look for high equality materials that last long and retain their looks, like granite or soapstone. These may be expensive, but are worth the price.
